I moved like 6mos ago from TN to FL and forgot to change it. Hang in there guys lol
Hey y'all! I'm Claire, in case you hadn't already noticed. I'm just a girl working my butt off in Central Florida to make things happen for myself. Someday, I hope to live comfortably with just the essentials. I'm kind of like that. I don't need the frills of life to be happy. For me, it should be about the experience of life and doing it right. I hope to be debt free (or at least mortgage free) by the time I'm 30 - and I don't even have a house yet! I have big dreams, I know, but they're not unrealistic. Hopefully, if the aforementioned dream comes true, the money I would be spending on interest could be allocated for travel!
I'm big into ancestry and genealogy and I've recently found out that my family hails from Ireland, Scotland, and France. This is common in my area of the US. There is also something about Italy that calls me, particularly Venice. I hope to leave no stone un-turned in this big, wide world of ours!
There is a great man in my life right now that I shall lovingly refer to as He-Man. He's pretty great. That being said: DO NOT ask me to marry you. I will not be nice in telling you no if you ask me. I don't care if you need a Visa. I will not be giving you money, either, as I currently don't have two nickles to rub together.
Now that's behind us, I am a really friendly person. I have met several lovely people on this site that I still talk to today, though most no longer frequent this site. It's been a long time since I got on here everyday, multiple times a day, but I hope to change that. It would be easier if there was "an app for that". Am I the only one who thinks so??
Anywhoo, I would like to think of myself as a language buff, but I'm not. I am pretty good with Spanish (including a few words in different dialects and even some everyday slang) but I'm rusty. If you want to help me polish that up, I would be grateful to you! It really is such a beautiful language. I have also tried learning some Italian, I took Latin for a bit, very minimal French, and even less Arabic (the Lebanese dialect is my favorite!). Right now, though, I have been brushing up on my German in hopes of a future trip to Rhineland and/or Luxembourg to finish tracing He-Man's lineage. If you want to help me with any of these languages, please do! I am pretty fair with helping others practice conversational English.
If there is anything I left out that you would like to know about this small-town Southern girl, don't be afraid to ask! I don't bite (hard). Haha!
